Mt kenya is a unique eco system evolved to thrive in the hot summer like days and cold winter like nights making the Flora and Forna unique and bursting with life.
A day trip is easily accessed after a drive up through the forest where you begin your trek in the “Heather and Mooreland zone”, known for its contrasting colours, Jurassic like plants and sweet smelling air lightly fragranced by all the beautiful wild flowers.
There are a number of day trips available to suite what you are after that can all be adjusted as you walk.
Hike to the Liki North hut.
A Wonderful walk up through the Mooreland and heather zone up to an old hut site nestled in the quiet Liki North Valley.

Go on a journey off the beaten path along some of the well trodden animal tracks and experience the expansive views of the Sirimon Valley.
